Our Activities
Transmedia PM
A monthly event that showcases and advances the possibilities of transmedia production. Events may focus on general transmedia concepts or highlight specific platforms, technologies or practices. Through partnerships with a range of organisations and media practitioners, Transmedia PM provides opportunities for individuals and groups to extend their networks, knowledge and experience.
Transmedia NZ Online
- An online community hub that provides regular news on Transmedia related projects, events and opportunities in New Zealand and beyond.
- A forum for discussion, debate and sharing via Facebook and Twitter.
- A resource centre with links to local and international transmedia organisations, events, and materials.
Transmedia NZ workshops and seminars
A programme of workshops and seminars which focus on professional development and best practice encompassing:
- Art & design
- Gaming
- Film & TV
- Libraries, museums, public works & education
- Mobile and locative media
- Music, dance & performance
- Social media, marketing, advertising
Team
Anna Jackson is currently undertaking a joint PhD at The University of Melbourne and the University of Auckland, researching innovation and change in New Zealand’s documentary production ecology (www.nzdocumentary.net). She has a strong interest in new and emerging documentary forms and practices. Anna is also the co-director of Transmedia NZ (www.transmedianz.org), an organisation that seeks to promote the development of transmedia production in New Zealand, and is a partner in Virtuo (www.virtuo.co.nz), a multi-disciplinary collective specialising in creative and strategic projects using new and emerging technologies.
Fiona Milburn is a partner in WireFrame Ltd which specializes in visual effects, transmedia, and technology based content for traditional and emerging platforms. She is a founding member of Unguarded Intersection, a collaborative group of moving image artists, which explores new and innovative ways of presenting the moving image.
