A monthly event for anyone interested in transmedia. We aim to bring together a range of people from different creative disciplines to exchange ideas, inspire each other and learn:

Transmedia NZ Online

  • An online community hub that provides regular news on Transmedia related projects, events and opportunities in New Zealand and beyond.
  • A forum for discussion, debate and sharing via Facebook and Twitter.
  • A resource centre with links to local and international transmedia organisations, events, and materials.

Our Transit blog on The Big Idea is full of reviews, interviews, and case studies, both local and international.  It’s a great way to keep up with the fast developing world of transmedia storytelling.



Anna Jackson, Co-Director Transmedia NZ 

Anna is a creative producer and consultant, media researcher, teacher, writer and passionate advocate for creative innovation.  She has a wide breadth of professional experience in creative industries including theatre, film, digital media, transmedia, public relations, marketing and publicity.

Anna is  the co-producer of online documentary initiative, Loading Docs and a blogger for The Big Idea. She recently completed a joint PhD at The University of Melbourne and the University of Auckland on ‘Innovation and Change in New Zealand’s documentary production ecology 2010-2013′.
Fiona Milburn, Co-Director Transmedia NZ 

Fiona is a partner in WireFrame Ltd which specializes in visual effects, transmedia, and technology based content for traditional and emerging platforms.  She is a founding member of Unguarded Intersection, a collaborative group of moving image artists, exploring new and innovative ways of presenting the moving image.  Fiona is also co-director of Transmedia NZ; curator of Transmedia: Storytelling for the Digital Age; an AUT CoLab Advisory Board member; and Life Member of Women in Film & Television.
